On Sept 11th, five intrepid members from the practice went to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. The event was a sponsored Triathlon challenge in the Lake District. The team had to climb The Old Man of Coniston, and on returning, trek through a mountain bike trail in Grizedale Forest. The final leg was a paddle round a course on Coniston Water.
Taking part were John Oleshko (director of Ashfield House), and his wife Ruth, plus Kat Heslip and Fiona Land (veterinary surgeons) plus Veterinary Nurse Kate Anderson.
The event was damp but fun-we worked very hard for our sponsorship, finishing with the third best time of 26 teams. We were the fastest in the cycling leg.
With your help we raised over £2,500 for Guide Dogs. These dogs make a huge difference to the quality of life of those benefitting from them.
